Located in Joshua, Texas, Red Giant Oil Company LLC is seeking a Class A CDL Driver with a Tanker endorsement for regional delivery destinations. Reporting to the Transportation Manager, this role is responsible for the safe and reliable transportation and handling of petroleum products at both customer locations and company-owned sites. Responsibilities include the proper and efficient completion of all assigned duties associated to his or her load as well as the operation of his or her vehicle within company policy and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

This position is not eligible for Relocation Program benefits.

SCHEDULE:

• Regional Delivery - home some nights and weekends.

PAY AND BENEFITS:

• $5,000 sign-on bonus paid after 6 months of satisfactory service
• Paid $0.62 per mile for all miles driven and $21.00 per hour for all time loading & unloading product, training or for any other applicable work performed, plus a per diem for any overnight stays!

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Safe and legal operation of a commercial motor vehicle
• Safe and timely transportation of product to and from destination
• Operates controls for loading and unloading product at a variety of sites
• Maneuvers hoses in, around and through all types of equipment
• Climbs ladders to open/close dome lids (must be open for loading/unloading) on both trailers and railcars
• Completes pre and post trip vehicle inspection reports per DOT regulations and company policy
• Completes written reports per Manager's request in accordance with company policy
• Verifies Bills of Lading to determine nature of load, destination information and ensures accuracy
• Submits written report on truck condition after each trip in accordance with policy and DOT regulations
• Applies knowledge of commercial driving skills in difficult situations, weather, and tight loading areas
• Reports all incidents and accidents involving driver or company equipment immediately
• Reports delays due to breakdowns, weather or other emergencies immediately
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• 1-3 years of satisfactory experience driving a Class A Commercial Motor Vehicle, safely and reliably

TRAVEL:

• Regional travel required with some overnight stays

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment Human Performance Evaluation and regularly lift and or move up to 75 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This position is performed in outside weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
