Classroom Assistant
Job description
Job summary:
The Float/Classroom Assistant position primarily provides breaks to classroom staff on a set schedule. Floats also help the kitchen staff to deliver snacks and lunch. The float also has daily responsibility to check the playground for safety/cleanliness, help make copies/deliver supplies to classrooms and fill in as classroom assistant if staff are needed to maintain ratios. Provide before or after school childcare, on a rotating schedule.
Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively with children, parent/guardian, coworkers and supervisor. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, written instructions and licensure regulations. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; work independently, and as a member of a team. Ability to organize and maintain classroom in a neat and sanitary manner. Must have reliable transportation.
Education and experience:
High School diploma or GED required
