MANUAL CNC MACHINIST - NEEDED

Candidate must be able to set up and operate CNC with Mazatrol Horizontal and Vertical Machine Center.

Required skill set:

• Must be familiar with programming and setup.
• Set up and operate different CNC to shape complex, small-run parts made from stainless steel, carbon steel, Monel, Inconel, and titanium. Working with Castings and 1 piece lot size.
• Interpret blueprints, manuals and other work instructions.
• Perform first-article inspection to determine correctness of setup and finished pieces.
• Clean & perform basic preventive maintenance functions on machines, tooling & parts.
• Proficiency in use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial calipers, depth gages, indicators and scales.
• Communicate with supervisors, engineers, production control employees and other personnel for assignments, and to resolve machining or quality issues.
• Use forklift, hoist, hand truck, and overhead crane to lift and position heavy materials.
• Understand and abide by industry and machine-specific safety standards.
• Inspect cutting tools for sharpness and usability.

Other requirements:

• Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to follow verbal and written instructions well.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and be adaptable to a changing work environment. Open to working in a typical machine shop environment
• Must have basic math skills that include geometry and algebra
• Must have problem solving ability and work independently
• High school diploma or GED.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour

Experience:

• Machining: 5 years (Required)
• CNC Machining: 5 years (Preferred)
