Job Description

The Customer Service Representative/Courier is responsible for performing a variety of delivery duties, sorting, and related routine clerical functions. He or she performs efficient preparation, delivery, and pick up of company supplies and documents. The Customer Service Representative/Courier promptly completes assigned errands including various interoffice and external business delivery runs. He or she is responsible for performing a variety of clerical support duties, including answering the telephone and greeting visitors as needed. The Customer Service Representative/Courier courteously and promptly answers customer questions and service requests or refers them to appropriate personnel. He or she assists with reviewing and processing consumer and business customer’s deposits made through remote channels utilizing the Fiserv Deposit Review system. The Customer Service Representative/Courier performs various projects and miscellaneous support duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Accurate and attentive to detail
  • Able to get along well with coworkers
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as professional telephone etiquette
  • Well organized with good typing skills
  • Strong proofreading skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software products and strong ability to use and navigate the Internet
  • Willing and able to assist coworkers with various tasks


Responsibilities

  • Checks the status of the D.L. Evans Bank courier vehicle daily. Ensures that the vehicle is clean and well maintained. Reports needed repairs and refuels as necessary
  • Prepares, picks up, and delivers D.L. Evans Bank supplies and documents. Performs a variety of assigned runs including inter-office, Fed Ex, Post Office, and errands to other businesses
  • Performs related clerical functions
  • Sorts mail as required
  • Ensures that all messenger duties are safely conducted
  • Assumes responsibility for maintaining friendly, professional business relations with external business accounts
  • Assists with the accurate and efficient performance of accounting and financial services and related clerical functions as needed
  • Answers telephone and professionally responds to telephone and email questions. Ensure email communications are accurate, thorough, and free from errors
  • Receives and screens visitors and telephone calls and either notifies staff members or records and relays messages. Conducts visitors to proper offices and announces them as necessary
  • Responds to research requests from branch personnel, customers, corporate officers and subpoenas. Pulls check copies as requested. Pulls customer subledgers and account statements using designated account numbers as requested
  • Retrieves and copies or maintains original documents, Laserfiche records, and other miscellaneous paperwork to support department operations as necessary
  • Ensures that research functions are completed in accordance with bank policies and procedures
  • Assists with the processing of customer’s remote deposits processed through Mobile Deposit, ATMs, or Merchant Capture as needed
  • Ensures deposits processed through the Fiserv Deposit Review system are reviewed and processed according to bank policy and procedures
  • Answers questions and resolves problems quickly and effectively relating to Retail and Business Mobile Deposit and ATM Deposit for customers
  • Informs management, customers, and/or branch personnel of any issues or problems promptly
  • Assists with the effective coordination and performance of the SCO program
  • Assists branch personnel with branch capture item processing issues
  • Assists merchant capture clients with item processing issues
  • Keeps management informed of any problems or issues with the system
