The Blood Bank of Hawaii is looking for a Full-Time Data Entry Clerk to be part of our Team!

The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for entering data into the Blood Establishment Computer System (BECS) using established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and entering donor demographic data-changes as required.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Registers new and existing donor’s donations and deferrals.
  • Updates donor demographic information.
  • Reconciles Registrations and Samples sent for testing.
  • Identifies problems and notifies the supervisor when the resolution of the situation is not possible.
  • Maintains donor records and related functions.
  • Checks quality and completeness of records prior to digital imaging.
  • Checks quality and completeness of imaged records prior to original records destruction.
  • Performs system queries and runs reports.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Education

  • High school graduate or equivalent.Experience
  • PC and computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office preferred.
