Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced registered dental hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a passion for patient care, exceptional communication skills, and be committed to providing high-quality oral health care services. As a registered dental hygienist, you will work closely with our dental team to provide preventive and therapeutic services to our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments of patient's oral health status
• Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) as prescribed by the dentist
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene techniques, diet, and lifestyle factors that impact oral health
• Administer local anesthesia, if required, for dental procedures
• Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants to prevent tooth decay
• Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and treatment notes
• Follow infection control procedures and maintain a clean and sterile dental environment
• Assist in the management of dental emergencies and provide first aid as required
• Participate in continuing education to stay updated on new trends and techniques in the field of dental hygiene

Qualifications/Experience Requirements:

• Must be a registered dental hygienist in good standing with the dental board in the state of California
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dental practice
• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Proficiency in dental software and technology
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods of time

Schedule:

2-3 times per week, 16 hours/week
Tuesday – Thursday
2 Saturdays per month (optional)
