Pediatric Dentist
Peridot, AZ
13 week contract
Days - 4 x 10
$4600/wk - $5000/wk
Requirements:
Arizona license within one year of hire
- Graduation from an accredited program of study by the American Dental Association; DDS or DMD
- Completion of an American Dental Association approved clinical residency program in the specialty area; BC
Tue-Fri. On non-sedation days they are scheduled 20-25 patients. They will be doing general anesthesia cases 7-9 days/month. Thx

Current and valid U.S. State license to practice dentistry; Arizona license within one year of hire
- Graduation from an accredited program of study by the American Dental Association; DDS or DMD
- Completion of an American Dental Association approved clinical residency program in the specialty area; Board Certification
designation preferred
- Current basic CPR designation or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
Essential functions:
1. Provides comprehensive dental examination and diagnosis of patients through use of history, radiographs and other appropriate tests
2. Diagnoses and treats diseases, injuries and malformation of teeth and oral structure within scope of clinical privileges
3. Prescribes medications for control of infection, pain, viral, bacterial and fungal infections
4. Reviews medical histories and records dental treatments in medical charts to ensure proper and timely documentation
5. Examines teeth, takes and/or reviews oral radiographs to establish a plan of care to restore teeth and reviews with patient and/or patient family to ensure understanding
6. Performs a variety of restorative and/or corrective procedures specific to specialty area and within scope of practice and privileges
7. Administers topical and local anesthesia and monitors patient’s reaction; takes appropriate action and/or pre-caution to ensure ongoing patient safety
8. Provides instructions in oral hygiene and methods/practices to prevent spread of oral diseases
9. Provides guidance and direction to Dental Assistants, Hygienists and other support staff
10. Responds to and provides emergency treatment of teeth and oral surfaces resulting from trauma, pain and/or infection within scope of clinical privileges
11. Participates in evaluation and verification of employee performance through review of completed work assignments and work techniques to ensure adherence with established practice, methods and procedures
12. Works collaboratively with other medical and specialty areas of dentistry to discuss and obtain consultative services for cases requiring multi-disciplinary approach
13. Participates in departmental orientation, on the job training and quality assurance programs/initiatives
14. Participates in a variety of department and hospital educational programs to maintain current skill and competency levels; identifies and discusses performance or training needs with Supervisor. May be requested to perform duties during non routine clinic hours and/or at other associated clinic sites
15. Performs other job related activities as requested/required
