Full Time - 32 hours/week
Monday - Thursday 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM & Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE:

As the Department Assistant you will support managers, physicians, providers and all department visitors with daily tasks and communications. The Department Assistant maintains all front office operations to ensure efficient office flow through scheduling, insurance verifications, authorizations and referrals.

WHAT WE ARE SEEKING IN YOU:

High school graduate required with a minimum of 3 years administrative assistant and/or office experience or comparable formal education.

Outstanding interpersonal, communication, telephone and organizational skills.

Ability to effectively handle sensitive, confidential and high stress situations.

Excellent grammar, spelling, format and proof-reading skills.

Must be competent with computer operations. Will be required to rapidly develop proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, e-mail communications.

Demonstrated ability to effectively transcribe dictations. Must type 65 wpm with a high degree of accuracy.

Demonstrated considerable initiative, ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Answers telephone and takes appropriate action, i.e., provides information to callers, takes messages and refers to appropriate staff.
