Director of Student Services Job Description
General Description: The Director of Student Services, a member of the administration of Community Christian School of Baraboo (CCS), provides leadership to students, parents, and volunteers with a servant attitude. The Director of Student Services possesses and exemplifies a deep, strong commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. The director guides the school in the mission of Christian education, preparing students for a life of Christian discipleship, responsible stewardship, and humble service in Christ’s Kingdom.
Reports To: The Principal
Qualifications: The Director of Student Services shall be one who has received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. The Director shall faithfully attend and financially support a local church whose fundamental beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith of CCS. He/She shall be a person who exhibits and/or desires spiritual understanding in academic and leadership abilities that will allow him/her to “train up a child in the way he should go.” They shall reflect the purpose of the school, which is to honor Christ in every activity. - is knowledgeable about curriculum content and development
- has classroom teaching experience and administrative experience
Director of Student Services Role and Responsibilities:
The director’s leadership responsibilities focus on the success of students and coordinates communication with parents at CCS. The director’s role focuses on: (1) guiding behavior management of students and communication with parents and (2) facilitate the organization and execution of school activities, including sports, clubs, field trips, and other events.
- Reports directly to the Principal of CCS
- Works with the Board and Principal to identify where God is working in the school, implementing plans as they are adopted
- Attends Board meetings and/or its sub-committees as directed by the Principal
- Meets with, in connection with the Principal, students and parents as needed to facilitate growth in academics, proper management of student behavior, and continue healthy relationships with school parents.
- Develops clubs, sports, activities, school-wide events, and other events and activities which will strengthen school spirit and effectiveness and communicate the value and engagement of the school.
- Assists the Principal in the management and improvement of the school’s academic, spiritual, behavioral, and extracurricular programs.

- Continues to seek ways to execute the school mission statement in each classroom, focusing on the day to day success of the school.
- Represent the school to outside entities, developing a positive reputation for the school
- Fosters relationships with other Christian schools, congregations, and supporters
School Climate
- Fosters the academic and spiritual growth of the students
- Communicates in order to create a spirit of community and trust throughout school
- Disciplines as needed in order to maintain a positive and safe experience for students
- Creates a supportive working environment for all teachers and staff
Operation
- Provides behavior management support for student body and faculty in connection with the Principal
- Works with the Principal to maintain a safe and efficient school environment
- Assists with hiring and recruiting new employees
- Coordinates recruitment and training of classroom volunteers
- Cooperates with the Administrator and Board to develop and administer the budget
- Completes all required documentation and reports
- Assists with FACTS Admissions and other aspects of admissions
- Conducts tours and assists with the admission of students
Compensation
Offered salary will be commensurate with credentials and experience.
