The Samaritan Center is looking to hire a Donation Dock Associate. Your job as Donation Dock Associate plays a key role in our mission by interacting with in-kind donors who drop off donations at the dock.

You will help unload and help sort incoming donations. As a Donation Dock Associate you will be handling large, bulky items up to 75 lbs that you will need to be able to lift or move. This position requires someone who is able to provide excellent customer service, with daily interactions with the public. You will maintain a friendly and helpful attitude.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Greet and assist all donors with warmth and respect

Sort incoming donations into proper categories for the processors

Assist with donors removing items from vehicles

Keep the dock area neat and orderly

Follow all safety guidelines and store policies and procedures

Perform other assigned tasks as needed

Qualifications and Skills:

Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs.

Ability to stand all day

Ability to work outside in various weather conditions

Attention to detail, with organization skills and able to multi-task

Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Ability to offer excellent customer service and maintain composure in a fast-paced work environment.

Job Location: 9231 Lee Highway, Ooltewah, TN

Hours: Full-time, closed Saturday. Monday – Thursday: 8 am – 5 pm; and Sunday 12 pm – 5 pm

Salary: Starting at $14.00/hour

Benefits: Paid vacation, paid and recognized holidays

Physical Demands: You will be regularly required to stand, bend, walk, and lift up to 75 lbs.

This is NOT an office job, you will be exposed to the outside elements.
