Job description

Full time equipment operator / worker. Minimum starting wage $21, higher if you bring more experience. Must be able to report within 30 minutes during winter for on call snow plowing. Maintain roads in the summer, including off equipment physical labor, plow roads in the winter. Support other Public Works projects, repair or assist repair of equipment when needed. Requirements:

• Valid Class B (or Class A) State of Maine driver’s license and ability to keep current with the CDL drug testing program
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to pass background check, DOT physical and drug test
• Ability to perform labor intensive and physically demanding jobs such as digging, raking, chainsaw operation, etc. during adverse weather conditions

- Excavating
- Grading
- Welding

Normal working hours are 6 am to 3:30pm Monday-Thursday and vary seasonally. Nights, weekend and holiday work are required in association with snow maintenance.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
