Full-Time or Part-Time, Monday-Friday

SUMMARY: The Financial Planning Assistant (FPA) is dedicated to supporting the employing wealth management advisor (i.e., located in St George, UT) in enhancing each client’s comprehensive financial planning experience. The FPA is a liaison between the clients, the wealth management advisor, and various financial institutions. This allows the employing wealth management advisor to focus on expanding the practice. The FPA is attentive to detail, efficient, and excellent at follow-through.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific responsibilities include, but will not be limited to, the following:

ACCOUNT PROCESSING:

  • Create and maintain electronic client files
  • Complete various forms and applications with clients
  • Conduct conference calls with clients and their financial institutions to initiate investment account rollovers
  • Contact clients to follow up on signatures, request any additional information, and update them on their accounts

CLIENT SUPPORT:

  • Answer client emails and phone calls
  • Assist clients in updating contact information, banking information, beneficiaries, etc.
  • Contact clients regarding late payments and contributions

ACCOUNT EVALUATION AND RECOMMENDATION DEVELOPMENT:

  • Gather financial information from clients and their financial institutions
  • Input information into financial planning software
  • Evaluate client accounts (i.e., insurance, investments, employee benefits, etc.)
  • Develop recommendations
  • Update client notes

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
  • High degree of reliability, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Capable of managing multiple responsibilities, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to proactively identify what needs to be accomplished and take action as appropriate
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking, financial analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and financial planning software
  • Ability to obtain insurance licenses (i.e., health, life, etc.) and investment licenses (i.e., Series 7, Series 66, etc.)
