As a Front Office Manager, you will directly supervise all front office personnel in the Front Office Department and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws. Directs and coordinates the activities of the front desk, reservations, guest services and telephone areas. Understanding of full service hotel products and guest services. Responsibilities include assisting front desk clerks by checking guests in and out of the hotel; interviewing, and training of team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining all front office personnel; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Must have the ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner and exhibit good judgement. Must be available to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Your specific duties in this role include:

  • Set department objectives, work schedule according to the Hotel occupancy, in and off season.
  • Full understanding of OPERA system and assists with reservations
  • Assign duties and schedule shifts to all front office personnel and observe performance to ensure adherence to hotel policies and established operating procedures.
  • Requires all front office employees to provide guests with information pertaining to available service hours of the hotel, i.e. restaurant and bar.
  • Ensure each front desk shift performs a bucket check.
  • Support and provide solutions for any questions raised by the front office personnel.
  • Trains all new front office personnel.

Perform Front Desk duties as needed:

  • Operates all aspects of Front Office computer system, including software maintenance,report generation and analysis, and simple configuration changes.
  • Manages and maintains a relationship with the Property Management System provider.
  • Manage all OTA reservations and resolve any issue as needed.
  • Ensure proper cash, credit card and key control procedures are followed.
  • Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
