Job Description: Evanston family seeking a proactive, happy, and dependable nanny for 2 young children. Early June start date.
Schedule: Guaranteed 42 hours per week. M-F 8:30am – 5:00pm.
Compensation: $1,062-$1,275/week + vacation, holidays, PTO
Job Details and Responsibilities:
- Two children: 3 yo. in part-time school and 1 yo. at home full-time.
- 3 yo. attends school in the morning and will need to be both dropped off and picked up. School is within walking distance of the home.
- Primary responsibility is childcare such as taking children outside for walks and to parks, providing meals, facilitating naps, taking children to classes such as ballet or gymnastics, and providing developmentally appropriate activities.
- Nanny should be knowledgeable regarding child development and milestones.
- Light housekeeping related to the children will be expected: tidying toys, kid laundry, preparing meals, kitchen clean-up, etc.
- Both parents may be working from home in designated spaces. Nanny should be comfortable with this.
Qualifications:
- Nanny should have verifiable experience working with 2 children and looking for a long-term commitment with a family.
- The ideal candidate has experience with food allergies and is knowledgeable on epi-pen. Nanny must be careful and conscientious.
- Reliable and communicative. Will make sure to arrive on time each day.
- Enthusiastic, engaged, with a positive attitude.
- Self-sufficient and proactive.
- Nanny should drive and have a safe driving record. If needed, family can provide vehicle for use on the job.
- COVID, Flu, and TDAP vaccinations preferred.
