JOB SUMMARY:

Empire is looking for local and traveling commercial fence technicians to join our team. This position requires a construction or landscaping minded individual who can travel to venues across the country and install multiple styles of fence, railing, gates and more. Uses safe methods when handling tools and equipment. Supports the management and mission of the company. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, detail oriented and like "thinking outside the box"

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Performs installation duties according to company approved methods and as instructed by foreman and co-foreman. Completes work to meet company standards and timetables. Uses safe methods in handling tools and equipment. Makes efficient use of time.

2. Loads trucks and trailers with materials, tools, and equipment as instructed by the foreman and co-foreman. Uses safe methods in handling tools and equipment. Makes efficient use of time.

• Install fencing per work order, i.e. layout, digging holes, pouring concrete, welding, installing gates, etc.

• Work in a team of 2-3 individuals to accomplish the task required

• Keep track of onsite inventory and adjust as needed

• Meet time sensitive deadlines with confidence and professionalism

• Maintain jobsite and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion

• Perform maintenance on equipment to keep in a satisfactory working condition

• Plan and adjust work day as needed to hit daily/weekly goals

• Additional tasks as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school or equivalent is preferred

• US work authorization is required

• Valid driver’s license is required, CDL A is a plus, (1 ton truck with trailer at times)

• Exhibit regular and prompt attendance

• Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted

• Proficient problem-solving and communication skills

• Demonstrate ability to work independently while also able to work in a team setting

• Willing to work M-F with weekends and overtime as needed

• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools

• Ability to operate heavy equipment, i.e. skid loader, telescoping boom lift, scissor lift, etc.

• Read and understand blueprints
