FLSA Status: Part-time @ 15 – 30 hours per week, depending on time of year


Girls on the Run Central Arkansas is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. Our council currently serves 90 kids across Pulaski County. Position Summary

Girls on the Run Central Arkansas is seeking an Executive Director who is passionate about community outreach and engagement and energized by the opportunities and challenges of growth. With the full support and partnership of our Board of Directors, the Executive Director will sustain the council across a variety of functions including strategic planning, fundraising, finance and human resources.


The Executive Director will work with community leaders, schools and school systems, non-profit partners, families and girls, and volunteers to create significant impact in our community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for youth and wellness and a strong fundraising background.


Community Engagement

  • Oversee special events planning and execution such as the Season-End 5k events, virtual summits, etc.
  • Ensure community engagement and communication is consistent with the GOTR brand and core values.
  • Build community presence.

Fundraising

  • Develop sustainable revenue plan with a focus on grant writing and individual donor development and stewardship with support from board members.
  • Develop and sustain sponsorship relationships with local, corporate and national partners.
  • Serve as ambassador to raise awareness by building and maintaining community relationships.

Staff and Volunteer Leadership

  • Responsible for building and directing a team of volunteers
  • Manage and facilitate all coach trainings.
  • Cultivate and steward key relationships with community organizations and site liaisons, coaches, parents, participants and volunteers.
  • Maintain strong relationship with the Board of Directors and Girls on the Run International and attend monthly Board meetings.

Strategic Planning

  • Offer strategic direction and leadership of the overall program through careful implementation of the Strategic Plan.
  • Collaborate with the Board to develop and implement a council growth plan that reflects creative program and site development strategies with an intentional focus on growing access and diversifying communities served.

Operational Administration

  • Manage the organization by establishing and implementing efficient systems and strategies.
  • Complete and submit all financial, operational and programmatic reports to Girls on the Run International. Board treasurer and secretary to help with these reports.
  • Leverage data to monitor GOTR Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and track progress toward meeting organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of leadership experience, preferably in a non-profit community impact environment.
  • Experience in fundraising and grant writing.
  • Passion for the Girls on the Run mission and ability to communicate effectively about girl empowerment, self-esteem, body image and whole person health.
  • Tech savvy, with the ability to effectively work in a remote-first environment.
  • Availability as needed for GOTR events, funding opportunities and ambassador engagements.
  • Readiness to embrace the work of inclusion, diversity, equity, and access.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • A flexible and adaptable team-player with a sense of humor.

This is a part-time position at 15 – 30 hours per week (depending on time of year) based in Little Rock, Arkansas and offers a compensation of $36,000 annually. This position is primarily remote but is locally based so the Executive Director can provide hands-on leadership and support to our community.
