The expected annual salary range for this role is $101250.0 - $148500.0 a year.

What you’ll do:
Eaton’s Corporate Sector is currently seeking a Global Category Manager - Wire Harness & Cable Assemblies to join our team. This position will be a remote role, if candidate lives within 50 miles of Beachwood, OH candidate will work on a hybrid schedule.
Position Overview:
Our supply chain management team creates bottom-line impact by driving cost management and operational benefits. Within our supply chain, the Global Category Manager, Wire and Harness supports the development and deployment of this category strategy. In this role, you will drive towards optimal conditions (cost, commercial, quality, delivery, innovation, VAVE) for these categories by leveraging synergies across businesses and driving the “One Supply Chain” philosophy.

- Support development of strategic initiatives to facilitate cross-business synergies across a rationalized set of global and regional preferred supplier partners.
- Negotiate and manage key strategic supplier contracts and relationships.
- Review, approve, monitor and report compliance to category agreements and strategies based upon Eaton SCM strategic directions.
- Develop innovative business solutions, forecast commodity projections and provide mitigation actions as applicable to ensure key metrics for the procurement function (Cost Out, DPO, Diversity Spend, etc.) are achieved.
- Advise on or innovate solutions for new planning tools, methods, technical analysis, standards and procurement opportunities with senior management that are aligned with SCM/Eaton strategic plans and cost reduction initiatives.
- Benchmark procurement processes to develop and implement best practices throughout Eaton and Supply Chain Management.
- Ensure compliance of suppliers with Eaton SCM Sustainability Programs, Go GREEN initiatives and SCM policies.
- Plan, prepare and execute annual profit planning for the owned spend, and support execution with the business cross functional teams.
- Lead Supplier Business Reviews with strategic suppliers annually.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in Supply Chain or Operations or Wire/Harnessing Sales
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration or Mechanical, Industrial or Production Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Supply Chain related certification (e.g. CPM, CPIM)
- MBA or Master’s degree in Supply Chain from an accredited institution
- 1-2 years’ supply chain experience with accountability across multiple manufacturing facilities
- 1-2 years’ negotiating experience for a Fortune 1000 industrial company in a global environment.
Skills:
- Communication, customer service and interpersonal skills necessary to converse with senior management, suppliers, operations personnel
- Demonstrate Negotiation Skills - Ability to drive results via fact-based negotiations
- Ability to manage cost-out projects against scope, schedule and budget
- Ability to be a technology leader and push forward digitization with team.
