The Southern Oregon Education Service District (SOESD) Migrant Education program seeks a Migrant Graduation Specialist to join the team.

The Migrant Graduation Specialist will act as an advisor, liaison, and facilitator for migrant students to help them complete high school and pursue post-secondary opportunities. The Specialist will work with a caseload of migrant students and will conduct building-wide activities for all migrant students as the need arises. All Specialist services will focus on the unique and supplemental needs of migrant student and will not supplant those activities conducted by other building staff such as counselors, home visitors, and teachers.

POSITION GOAL
To work directly with migrant students and their families to promote high school graduation and post-secondary education. Serves as a role model and mentor to students who are at risk of dropping out of school.

Bachelor’s degree in a field pertinent to youth development

Experience which would provide the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge and ability required to perform the job.

Demonstrated competence and involvement working with the Latino community.

Strong communication skills.

Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Valid Oregon Driver’s license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.38 - $24.40 per hour

• 8 hour shift
