Job description
  • The Arizona Department of Education, Health and Nutrition Services administers the United States Department of Agriculture Child Nutrition Programs (CNPs). Such programs include the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program (SBP), and After School Care Snack Program (ASCSP), Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), CACFP At-Risk Afterschool Meals, Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), and Seamless Summer Option (SSO). Additionally, Health and Nutrition Services administers USDA Foods in Schools and initiatives promoted by USDA such as Farm to CNPs, Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, etc.
  • The Training, Communications and Nutrition Promotion team will be responsible for providing professional development and communication to ensure that Child Nutrition Program operators and staff have the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to manage, operate, and elevate CNPs in Arizona.
  • This position will work collaboratively with the team to provide support across all communication platforms. It will primarily be responsible for maintaining training and communication files, support in the preparation and on-site registration of training sessions, and website resource maintenance. The Program Project Specialist will serve as the point of contact to trainers and participants during in-person training, as well as coordinate meetings both internally and with outside partners.
  • Occasional in-state and out-of-state travel may be required for this position.

Job Duties:
  • Follow established procedures, technology processes
  • Provide project support across platforms sourced by this team while adhering to time and department standards
  • Monitor active publications and ensure all links are current and accessible on HNS webpages and trainings
  • Respond to phone and email-based inquiries related to training, registration, access to materials, subscription to listservs, and navigating to and through technology platforms
  • Store and organize training materials and media content (photo, video, success) collected from program operators
  • Perform support duties required of training sessions; printing of materials, creating events for open registration, marking attendance, travel, and is present on-site for training setup, registration, and closing
  • Provide support on the team's and the division's technology platforms; support includes conducting User Acceptance Testing of new technology system enhancements

Retirement:
