A reputable and growing hospital located in progressive yet beautiful and coastal Northern California is actively seeking for an experienced Hospital Manager of Safety and Emergency Preparedness to join the team!

The Manager of Safety and Emergency Preparedness will be responsible to direct and manage the safe, efficient and effective operations of building systems and equipment throughout the Hospital Enterprise-wide. The Manager of Safety and Emergency Preparedness will manage the elements of performance for the Enterprise Safety Program, ensuring compliance with the Hospital's Environment of Care, Life Safety and Emergency Management Plans.

The Manager of Safety and Emergency Preparedness will evaluate and report on compliance activities to the Central Safety Committee. The Manager of Safety and Security Services will direct, plan, implement and evaluate hospital-wide Emergency Management Plans and preparedness drills and exercises to satisfy all applicable regulations. Directs, plans and implements Environmental Monitoring Program to satisfy all applicable regulations.

The Manager of Safety and Emergency Preparedness will direct, plan, implement and evaluate safety education programs with interdisciplinary and interdepartmental focus for all Hospital staff including but not limited to training for General Hospital Orientation, Decontamination, Hazardous Materials, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, and Safety Data Sheets and oversight of safety-related software and databases (ex. Safety Data Sheets, learning management system, notification systems).

The Manager of Safety and Emergency Preparedness will develop and implement mandatory safety related education and lead collaborative efforts to provide safety awareness and consultation to all departments. The ideal Manager of Safety and Emergency Preparedness should have B.A. in Safety, Emergency Management, Education, Management, or scientific/engineering field. Prior experience leading an organization-wide safety program. Prior coordination of large scale drills/scenario training using the HEICS model is preferred.
