Host/Busser – Sunriver Pub

Sunriver Brewing Company is a family-owned business founded in Central Oregon in 2012. Almost 300 team members represent three pubs and a brewery located in Central Oregon with an additional pub in Eugene. We are dedicated to awesome craft beer, delicious food, and engaging service. We're looking for a Host/Busser to join our team and operations at our Sunriver Pub in Sunriver.

Host/Busser - Position Summary:

The Host/Busser is committed to ensuring high-quality customer service and the capacity to handle the pressure of restaurant work. To succeed in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure with servers, cooks, and other staff. We are looking for someone who is excited to get a great start or continue their path in the craft beer industry.

Host/Busser - Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant
• Guiding guests to their table
• Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area
• Providing customers with menus
• Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure an even workload for wait staff
• Answering phones
• Managing to-go orders
• Prepares dining room for guests by cleaning tables.
• Protects the establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
• Maintains menu presentation by keeping menus clean, replacing damaged or soiled pages.
• Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed.
• Cleans tables.
• Carry loads of soiled dishes to the dishwasher to be cleaned.
• Supports waitstaff by setting up and replenishing condiment stands and busser stations.
• Closes dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables, sweeping and vacuuming floors, and removing trash from the facility.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
• Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
• All other duties as assigned.

Host/Busser - Job Requirements & Skills:

• Prior customer service experience in the hospitality industry is not required but welcomed
• Positive attitude and interpersonal skills
• Good phone etiquette
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Eye for details.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs. or more.
• Willing to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Availability to work evenings and on weekends, including holidays.
