Provides leadership and oversight of the Indio Immediate Care Clinic and manages staff development initiatives to support departmental and organizational goals. The IC Clinical Operations Manager works closely with departmental management team, providers and staff to ensure that departmental workflows, processes, policies and procedures focus on providing quality patient care.

  • Participate in the development of financial and/or operational goals and actively contribute to the achievement of assigned financial and/or operational goals evidenced by decrease in avoidable Emergency Department (ED) send outs, decreased encounter visits, increased patient satisfaction scores, decreased service complaints, improved door to discharge time, and increased employee retention.
  • Service as first point for service recovery and patient concerns/complaints and operational issues, as needed.
  • Manage departmental schedule and resources to ensure that department is adequately staffed and that appropriate resources are available.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to the assigned staff. Evaluate staff performance, identify opportunities for improvement and facilitate appropriate resources and trainings to staff.
  • Direct and actively participate in the departmental training and orientation of new staff.
  • Monitor flow of patient care and identify areas of improvement. Submit suggestions for improvement to the department management team.
  • Attend and actively participate in meetings as required by the management team.
  • Direct and coordinate the development, implementation and continuous review of nursing standards, policies and procedures in collaboration with others as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with IC Clinical Managers to maintain accurate timekeeping records of Indio IC staff.
  • Continuously review departmental workflows to ensure that departmental workflows and processes support quality patient care that focus on fulfilling patient needs and comfort.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current California RN license required.
  • 2 years recent clinical experience in an acute care setting, urgent/immediate care or Emergency Department experience.
  • 1 year of management or supervisory experience.
  • Clinical assessment and knowledge associated with appropriate nursing scope of practice.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with individuals within all levels of the organization, providers, patients, patient family members and others.
  • Detail oriented. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette skills.
  • Ability to utilize critical thinking and own judgement to problem solve.
  • BLS and ACLS required.
  • Current California drivers license and proof of insurance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55.23 - $67.17 per hour
