API Kirk Containers is a high performing manufacturer for injection and blow molded containers that has opened up a second manufacturing plant location in Willard, UT.

We are seeking a Personally Accountable, Skilled, High Performing, and Self Managing Injection and Blow Mold Processing Technician who prides themselves on doing things right the first time, every time. This position will help in building a high performing and efficient production facility.

The ideal candidate for this role has ample experience changing and processing molds on injection and or blow molding machines and can successfully troubleshoot through issues.

All production machinery is brand new. You will work directly with the Production Supervisor to complete tooling and equipment changeovers as the need arises, assist in completing production orders, inspect product quality coming from the injection and blow molding machines, assist with the proper upkeep and operation of the machines, and assist in all functions from raw material in to finished goods out.

This position is a hands on position and will require working side by side with the Production Supervisor, Manufacturing vendor technicians, peers on your shift and the opposite shifts, and cross functionally with other department functions to ensure tasks are completed in a proper and timely manner while ensuring safety, quality, production, and site expectations are met.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean and safe work space
• Work with integrity and accountability
• Assist in properly starting, shutting down, running, and changing over molds in production equipment
• Self starter and highly motivated to be a part of a top performing production team
• Work directly with the team to identify and correct major and minor issues with product quality, production equipment and work area
• Provide input and suggested changes to site expectations and standard work
• Provide support to team as a whole
• Perform other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

• Experience with handling, inspecting, changing over molds, and processing parts in injection and/or blow mold machines
• High degree of communication and problem solving
• Ability to operate with a high degree of accountability for self and team
• Experience with operation of industrial plastics production equipment
• Experience with using hand tools and power tools
• Experience in Injection Molding, Blow Molding and/or Plastics
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is preferred

Production Schedule: 24/7 operation with four 12 hour shifts - 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 3 off type production shift schedule.

Pay Rate: Stated range of $24/hr to approx. $33/hr for the right candidate - Depending on Experience
