About the Position
The Milken Institute is currently looking for a Senior Associate Drupal Developer to join the internal IT team in our Santa Monica office. As a Senior Associate Drupal Developer, you will be responsible for working on the web platform team to maintain and enhance MilkenInstitute.org and another affiliated website. The role encompasses end-to-end, direct participation in the health and support of the related systems, including requirements elicitation, solution design, configuration, development, code review, testing, deployment, user maintenance, and training.

Responsibilities
Direct, practical experience as a full-stack Drupal developer with React JS front-end experience- Experience extending and creating new Drupal themes
- Experience working with Bootstrap
- Practical experience with modern JavaScript
- Experience creating and consuming API’s
- Experience working with multiple different content management systems
- Proven ability to troubleshoot issues to determine root cause analysis, propose a resolution, gain consensus if needed, and implement the solution
- Understanding of and adherence to dev ops and software development life cycle methods and best practices, including Drupal best practices
- Passionate about delivering and maintaining a simple, elegant solution to satisfy business requirements
- Displays remarkable listening, analytical, organizational, presentation, and time management skills
- Exhibits sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates a high level of diplomacy and professionalism
- Experience with software development life cycle
- Experience on an Agile Scrum project delivered under Continuous Delivery is preferred

- Responsible for New site features, Data Integration, Data Migrations, and Synchronization between environments. API code, Drupal security updates, Bulk data edits, Database Updates, Site Security
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent- 5+ years of full-stack Drupal development with React JS front-end experience
- Expertise with Pantheon, LAMP Stack (Apache), LEMP Stack (NGINX), Composer, NPM, Gulp, Docker, MySQL command line, Linux Command Line, SFTP and RSYNC, Bash shell scripting, PHP, YML, Twig, HTML5, CSS3, and SASS/LESS
