IT Support, Level 1 Help Desk & Field Tech - Must Live in Denver Metro Area

This is a position in Northglenn Colorado. It is a local, on-site position. It is not remote/work from home.
This position will start as a 90-day probationary period, and if it goes well it will convert to a full-time position.

We have been in business since 2011 and we are essentially an outsourced IT department for small businesses. We act as help desk, network engineers, and the clients' CTO/CIO. The work environment is high energy and fosters a great workplace for employees. The role we are hiring for is a Level 1 Help Desk Technician and Field Technician.

The position:
You will be assisting with first level support. You will respond to tickets as they come in and help remotely or on site as needed. You will be out and about visiting clients regularly. You will have a lot of creative freedom to troubleshoot your own way, but will have all of the tools and support when you need them. You will escalate difficult issues to Level 2. You will document everything you do in our ticketing system and help us continue to build documentation for ease of assisting clients.
Who we are looking for:
You will always have plenty to do, it will rarely be quiet and definitely never boring. What we are looking for is someone who is extremely personable and can connect with clients. We would rather you take more time solving an issue because you were chatting with the client and getting to know them, rather than you hurrying through issues as quickly as possible. We want you to be looking for potential issues before they happen and by knowing the clients and how they operate you will be better able to predict and prevent potential issues.
What your day will look like:
Mon-Fri 8am to 6pm with breaks as you need them.
Occasional weekend work as-needed, and emergency on-call (scheduled rotation).
Monitoring all tickets as they come in and responding quickly.
On-site visits to troubleshoot issues, work on pending projects, and become a familiar face with our clients.
Types of issues you will assist with will be desktop support, Microsoft Office and Office 365 support, swapping computers, basic networking, software support on various platforms, interfacing with third party vendors on clients' behalf, etc.
Occasional administrative work.
Requirements:
High school diploma required, college degree preferred.
Ability to stay calm and patient in challenging situations.
Incredible customer service presence.
Willing to learn.
1-3 years of IT experience in some capacity.
Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Self-starter that will look for work to do on slower days, rather than kicking back.
Must be able to pass a background check and have a clean driving record.
A dependable car/truck that can be used on the job.
Additional qualifications that will set you apart:
A degree in some Information Technology field.
Previous experience working in an MSP.
Previous experience with ConnectWise products.
Previous experience with Office 365.

We will ask our clients regularly what their feedback is on you - if our clients are happy with you, we will be happy with you.
You will report directly to the owner.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
