A manufacturing company in Illinois is looking to add a new IT Support Specialist to their growing team at their Crystal Lake location. In this role, the IT Support Specialist will be responsible for assisting computer users with the operation/repair of computer systems and other technological equipment.

- Providing technical assistance by installing, configuring, testing, and upgrading computer software and hardware
- Perform tasks that revolve around detection and resolution of technical problems
- Maintain company networks and ensure smooth performance of computer systems
- Set up and configure new equipment
- Perform routine maintenance of computer/network systems
- Carry out diagnostic tests to identify and resolve faults in a technological system
- Monitor equipment and application to ensure optimal performance
- Support development and implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations
- Perform other duties, as needed
- 2+ years of IT experience
- High School Diploma / GED
- Working technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, and standards
- High-level knowledge of commonly used software, hardware and applications
- Customer service oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
