As a key member of our estimating team, you'll organize and evaluate info to create cost estimates for manufacturing and installing custom commercial cabinetry and architectural woodwork projects. In this essential role, you'll collaborate with clients, helping to win new contracts while working closely with our Project Managers, Engineers, and Production teams to forecast material, fabrication, and installation costs. Success in this position requires dependability, top-notch organizational and people skills, and the ability to think creatively.
Essential Duties:
· Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers.
· Create strategic bids with detailed cost analysis, material alternatives, potential risks, and recommendations, presenting findings to clients and management teams.
· Document any errors, omissions, or ambiguities found in bid documents.
· Understand and communicate project scope and specifications.
· Prepare reports and documents for project hand-off meetings.
· Keep refining your estimation techniques, processes, and knowledge for maximum efficiency and accuracy.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (calculations, charts, and common functions/formulas).
· Great communication skills to collaborate with clients and build trust.
· Systematic and logical problem-solving skills.
· Open-mindedness and creative thinking.
· Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks efficiently.
· Passion for learning and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Education/Experience:
· Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Construction Management, or a relevant field combined with related experience.
· Preferred but not required: 5 years of experience in manufacturing or commercial construction with specific duties in Estimating or Project Management.
