Carlyle Financial is seeking a Jumbo Mortgage Loan Processor (Temporary) to play a critical role within our organization. During your time here, you will be relied on to contribute your expertise throughout the lifecycle of the loan.

We are leaders in the jumbo and super-jumbo mortgage marketplace and typically see an average loan amount of $2M+, including several loan files over $10M this year.

As we serve our clients in markets across California and grow our footprint into 10+ states in 2023, we take pride in offering an individualized approach to better understand our client's financial picture. This is a temporary position. We are looking for coverage from October 10 through February 28, but we are flexible with regard to start and end dates.

Job Summary:

This role entails taking ownership of multiple phases of a loan submission and working in concert with other team members by providing an emphasis on quality, efficiency, and conclusive outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a thorough analysis of new loan applications, including reviewing borrowers' income and expense data, self-employment documentation, tradelines, and property valuations while considering specialized underwriting criteria.
• Package and submit loans to lender underwriting for conditional review and full approval.

• Apply your experience and industry knowledge to evaluate investor guidelines' loan findings and create pathways for solution-based approval exception scenarios and/or counter-offers.

• Prepare, review, and ensure the timely delivery of all loan disclosures to our clients in accordance with all governmental and investor requirements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years experience processing jumbo loans

• Knowledge of jumbo guidelines

• Must be able to work independently and handle multiple priorities under the pressure of deadlines and time restraints.

• Ability to learn quickly and work in multiple lender platforms and systems

• Experience working in a remote environment preferred

• Ability to run AUS – DU, review findings and document files, accordingly

• Knowledge of State/Federal regulations to maintain loan file compliance

• Able to provide quality customer service to applicants/borrowers, realtors, builders, appraisers, title companies in a timely manner.

• Must be able to multitask & handle multiple investors in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills — verbal and written, capable of expressing complex issues and soliciting input from a broad audience.

• Knowledge of current industry regulations (ATR, Appendix Q, etc.)
