Momofuku

Established by chef and founder David Chang in 2004 with the opening of Momofuku Noodle Bar, Momofuku has grown to include restaurants in New York City, Washington D.C., Sydney, Toronto, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles; a casual chicken spot (Fuku); and a bakery (Milk Bar), established by award-winning pastry chef Christina Tosi. The restaurants have gained world-wide recognition for their innovative take on cuisine, while supporting local, sustainable and responsible farmers and food purveyors.

We are looking for a Junior video and graphic designer focused on video and static ads to join our Momofuku Goods marketing team. This is NOT a UX/UI focused role. As a Junior Designer, you will be responsible for creating and iterating on visually appealing and highly effective ads that drive customer engagement and conversion. In addition, this role will support the Momofuku Goods design team on brand and product projects.

Compensation Band: $33 - $37 an hour

Responsibilities

• Design, edit, and iterate on video and static ads as briefed by the marketing and design teams
• Receive and implement feedback from the marketing and design teams
• Storyboard ideas that translate well into video ads based on briefs
• Enforce brand standards to ensure Momofuku’s brand is well represented
• Perform research and trend analysis in the performance marketing space
• Prepare ads for deployment in the necessary aspect ratios

Required Qualifications

• Video editing experience in Premiere and/or After Effects
• Comfortable with the visual conventions and ecosystems of social media
• Minimum 1 year design or video editing experience, agency or in house
• Fluency in Photoshop and Illustrator
• A strong eye for design, layout, typography, and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Figma experience, a plus
• 2+ years design experience, agency or in house
• Ability to juggle multiple projects with tight deadlines
• Video ads exceed current thumbstop rates

Physical Demands

• The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
