We are seeking Associate or Independent License Therapist to join our team! You will provide recovery-focused services in group and individual settings. We are a substance abuse addiction treatment center located in Pacific Beach, CA providing Intensive and Outpatient services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Therapist is responsible for providing group counseling on substance abuse issues, and/or co-occurring disorders.
• Therapeutic services focus on systemic issues contributing to the development of chemical dependency, mental health diagnoses, relationships, and other practical issues.
• Works with the treatment team to provide appropriate coordinated care services to clients and their families.
• Displays sensitivity to the cultural and linguistic needs of the clients and families served.
• Implement and review treatment plans.
• Collaborate with additional treatment providers and placement agencies.
• Ensure all clinical documentation is completed in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with community mental health resources
• Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields
• Demonstrated experience and ability to relate to a culturally diverse clients
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Strong leadership qualities
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects and priorities
• Familiar with Windows operating system, WORD, EXCEL, email, etc. able to compose correspondence and type up medical documentation using correct format and grammar.
• Must be registered with the California Board of Psychology or Board of Behavioral Sciences. Acceptable licensure includes associate or independent Marriage Family Therapists, Social Workers, or Professional Counselors. Applicants must maintain that license in good standing throughout employment.
• Current Tuberculosis Clearance
• First Aid and CPR Certified required prior to date of hire
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residence.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.14 - $30.28 per hour
