Position Summary
Teleflex Incorporated has an exciting opportunity within its in-house legal department for an experienced and highly motivated individual to join the organization as a Litigation Paralegal. The Litigation Paralegal will provide support, as appropriate, on litigation and/or corporate legal matters at the direction of counsel, which will primarily include litigation and investigation case management, electronic discovery support, and various special projects. This role will report into the Company’s Associate General Counsel who manages the Company’s global litigation and internal investigations. This position will be located at Teleflex’s corporate headquarters in Wayne, PA.
Principal Responsibilities
- Manage e-billing of outside counsel.
- Maintain and update the litigation calendar, and assist in drafting periodic reports for department and company leadership.
- Maintain internal legal department electronic files.
- Handle various administrative tasks including scheduling meetings and reminders, sorting incoming mail, sending out mail, scanning, copying, and notarizing documents.
- Report incoming matters to insurance carriers and handle related administrative tasks including maintaining loss runs.
- Manage the discovery collection process (including sophisticated electronic discovery) including document collection and retention.
- Manage document preservation procedures and processes including working with key stakeholders.
- Manage service of process of incoming matters.
- Assist with settlement execution.
- Other projects as needed.
Education / Experience Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years experience working as a litigation paralegal at a top law firm and/or in-house legal department of a public company. In-house experience is strongly preferred.
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited institution or equivalent experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree a plus.
- Experience with CSC’s Entity Management System a plus.
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Westlaw, Lexis, Pacer, and other types of online research databases.
- Strong knowledge of eDiscovery processes and software (including Microsoft 365).
- Time management and organizational skills necessary to appropriately prioritize workload, plan and project management for resources to meet deadlines and goals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and project a professional image at all times.
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
