Job Summary:

Qualifying Criteria (include in submittal), years of experience, 1 to 5 ranking (5 being high):

Top 3 – 5 skills or responsibilities in which recruiting should be screening against:

  • Responsible for building and machinery maintenance activity
  • Clean& lubricate shaft, bearing, gears, and other parts of machinery
  • Diagnose mechanical problems, determine how to correct them, check blue prints, repair manuals, and Parts catalogs as necessary.
  • Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions
  • Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions, following check lists.
  • Perform inspection of used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
  • Set up operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts , jigs, and fixtures.
  • Use tools like hand power tools to hammers hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices

Job description that includes:

Under the direction of the Plant Engineer/Maintenance Supervisor, responsible for completion of equipment & building maintenance.

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Responsible for building and machinery maintenance activity
  • Clean& lubricate shaft, bearing, gears, and other parts of machinery
  • Diagnose mechanical problems, determine how to correct them, check blue prints, repair manuals, and Parts catalogs as necessary.
  • Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines continue to run smoothly
  • Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions, following check lists.
  • Perform inspection of used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
  • Set up operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts , jigs, and fixtures.

Required skills and/or technologies with expected years of experience:

  • Ability to read and understand blue prints
  • Ability to coordinate outside services ( parts, rigging, and repair)
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Ability to perform some or all of the above noted duties

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Blueprint reading: 2 years (Required)
  • Coordinate outside services ( parts, rigging, and repair): 2 years (Required)
