Perform regular maintenance-related duties along with general maintenance and repairs such as light bulb changes, minor plumbing, equipment maintenance, light construction, grounds keeping and housekeeping to all Health Center locations. Provide mechanical preventative maintenance on health center systems and equipment such as belt and filter changes. Assist Lead Mechanic and other mechanics on projects which would require assistance. Will remain on call twenty-four hours/day for any problems occurring during off-hours, on a rotated basis. All mechanics will remain on call for emergencies and projects.
Rotating After-Hours Emergency On-Call coverage required.
Primary location is in the South End, but must be flexible to work at other health center locations.
Ability to work independently on small scale repairs or requests. Perform a variety of semi-skilled work for maintenance and repair at all Health Center locations. Including rooms set up, furniture installation, inspections and key requests.
Rotating After-Hours Emergency On-Call coverage required.

Perform various maintenance on refrigeration, plumbing, heating and air conditioning equipment. Operate a variety of equipment and various hand and power tools to perform repair and maintenance work.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Technical training and/or at least three year’s experience as a maintenance person.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, H.V.A.C., carpentry, electricity and repairing equipment.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
