THE ROLE

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and direction to all plant maintenance personnel and contractors who are responsible for repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment in manufacturing operation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Hires and trains maintenance staff
• Oversees daily instruction and work assignments of maintenance staff
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
• Oversees the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department
• Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed
• Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules
• Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner
• Assists with budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects
• Performs other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS | SKILLS | ABILITIES

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 3 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• 2 years Supervisory / Management experience
• Basic mathematical and statistical skills
• Must be able to work independently and as a team player, be organized, and plan ahead
• Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
