Maintenance Supervisor

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Maintenance Supervisor, are to:

• Always embrace and demonstrate a safety first culture;
• Performs daily operations as directed by site management/leadership;
• Work independently and may assign as needed to complete PMs and repairs in a timely, efficient, and professional manner;
• Ensure proper functioning of utilities and the attainment of functional goals set out by management;
• Provide orientation/SOP training support for newly hired Maintenance Technicians;
• Provide standardized training and mentoring as needed to less experienced technicians, managers, seasonal workforce and peers supporting achievement of development goals;
• Responsible for entering accurate service and/or repair information into a computerized work order system to track maintenance activities for each piece of equipment being serviced or repaired;
• Read, understand, and follow technical service manuals;
• Operate agriculture equipment in order to diagnose and repair breakdowns;
• Aid and give guidance to technicians with major repairs and diagnostics as needed;
• Prepare key process documentation as needed(procedures, meter readings, KPI metrics, etc..);
• Communicate and work with external vendors in order to locate/order parts;
• Perform failure analysis on premature breakdowns and failures;
• HSE and Quality subject matter expert Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to company's HSE and QA/QC standards (general field/shop floor/machine safety and operating procedures) including following all OSHA regulations;
• Facilitate DDS (Daily Direction Setting) meetings and drive effective shift handover collaborating with teams and across shifts to drive performance improvement;
• Support area by keeping metrics and other relevant information current on visual boards to drive teamwork and facilitate shift change over;
• Own key metrics and ensure data accuracy to drive teamwork and support data based decisions;
• Work with leadership as needed when nonconformities in product or process variance occur;
• Identify opportunities to improve performance in accordance with production site's continuous improvement programs and company goals including promotion of process efficiency and standardization;
• Partner and lead projects/ process improvement initiatives across teams;
• Manage partnership with key business partners both internal and external, including cross site collaboration;
• Assist leadership with asset management and purchasing;
• Leads multi-functional and/or cross site collaboration and projects;
• Develop a sense of ownership through partnerships with internal customers;
• Write and accomplish goals, be accountable for own development;
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment;
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or GED;
• Successfully completed Industry recognized supervisor program or equivalent;
• Good communications (written, verbal, interpersonal) and leadership skills;
• Competence in facilities & maintenance;
• Ability to work under pressure;
• Good organizational skills;
• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 60 pounds, work in and outdoors, walk on uneven surfaces, and perform elevated work;
• Ability to gain and maintain certification to safely operate a forklift and various types of lift equipment such as manlift, scissor lift, etc.;
• Able to teach and lead technicians to use tools, instruments, and other devices to troubleshoot, repair and service industrial machinery and systems;
• Advanced knowledge of the design, operation, and repair of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment and systems;
• Advanced knowledge of industrial electricity, including single and three phase power systems;
• Advanced familiarity with building codes, electrical codes, and fire codes;
• Developed skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

• 8 years of relevant experience;
• Associates degree in Heating, Ventilation or Air Conditioning (HVAC), electronics or industrial maintenance, or a closely related discipline;
• Technician / Bachelor or other state certified qualification;
• Work experience in facilities and maintenance;
• Prior Research and Development experience;
• Apprenticeship certificates in one or more trades;
• Elevated work and fall protection experience;
• Welding and Fabrication experience;
• Lift operation experience;
• Expert knowledge of technology.
