General Position Description:

Under the direct supervision of the Property Manager, this position will actively manage and perform the duties of all facilities and Maintenance related activities for a multi-family property located in the Monroeville area. Responsibilities for this full-time position include (but are not limited) to: maintaining appropriate levels of inventory in respective maintenance shop, coordinating work orders and turnovers with Property Manager, assisting residents with facilities issues in their units, being the primary laborer in vacant apartment turnovers, assisting leasing office team with facilities maintenance issues, supervising safe and clean common area spaces, coordinating and managing outside vendors as needed, placing material and supply orders as needed, and other general facilities maintenance items, helping maintain the trash schedule and ensure appropriate staff coverage including weekends and holidays, and be 'on call' for maintenance emergencies when scheduled and as needed, managing and developing Maintenance Technician /Porter Employee and Maintenance Technician Employee on a daily basis and via Employee reviews, managing the maintenance categories within annual operating budget to remain within the confines of the allotted expenses, assisting in drafting the annual operating budget maintenance categories with Property Manager.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Minimum Qualifications are a High School Diploma or GED and certifiable experience in commercial property maintenance experience.
  • 3+ years of commercial property maintenance and/or physical plant maintenance is preferable.
  • Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Painting experience.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment Physician's physical and drug test.

Salary & Benefits:

· Base salary paid on bi-weekly basis.

· Paid time off for major holidays, vacation, sick days, after probation period.

· 401 (k) optional deferred income account, up to 6% of base salary as match, upon employee election after probation period.

· Base salary is based off a forty (40) hour work week. Work hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
