Job Summary
Accountable for managing HR Colleague Relations group and enterprise processes. Responsible for designing and implementing HR Team Relations processes; including coaching and consulting managers, leaders, and Colleagues on issues related to Colleague relations. Responsible for handling escalated ER issues; including, performance improvement plans (PIPs), corrective actions (CARs), HR Ethics Helpline complaints, etc. In addition, the position will conduct Human Resource ethics investigations and audits within a geographic area. Proactively work with HR Leadership to develop plans and strategies to adhere to HR compliance policies while maintaining positive Colleague relations.
Key Performance Indicators
- Colleague relations reporting and analytics tracking related to PIPs, CARs, and ethics cases
- Success Rate of PIPs for colleagues
- Ensuring compliance maintained from federal, state, and local jurisdictions
- Assess and identify potential areas for union activity or labor relations concerns
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Leads, manages, organizes, develops, implements, and monitors Colleague Relations (CR) center of excellence (COE) processes within HR, as well as metrics, activities, and projects within HR Colleague Relations group; including PIPs, CARs, and Ethics Helpline HR cases
- Leverages continuous feedback from frontline Colleagues, managers, HR, and key stakeholders to improve ER processes
- Handle escalated Colleague relations issues and activities for the organization; including PIPs, CARs, HR ethics investigations, and difficult conversations.
- Assisting/counselling managers and Colleagues in the resolution of Colleague grievances. Includes conducting preliminary interviews and documenting findings/recommendations.
- Includes advising managers on dealing with Colleague grievances using authorized processes
- Anticipates and plans for long-term resource needs and trends that may impact Colleague Relations
- Develop plans and strategies to ensure adherence to all company compliance and Colleague relations initiatives by working with business unit HR leadership across all brands

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Relations, Psychology or a related discipline. JD or Masters Degree preferred
- 3+ years of solid, progressively responsible Human Resources experience with knowledge and understanding of federal and state regulations; including EEO, DOL, FLSA, NLRA, WARN, labor and employment laws
- 2+ years managing a team required

Incumbent is required to have:
- Close visual acuity to perform detail-oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm’s reach with skill, control, and accuracy, such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.
Incumbent will be subject to:
- Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
