Rejuvenation is a core pillar of what we offer our members, and our full-service day spa offers a variety of treatments and gives members the opportunity to unwind.

Woodside Massage Therapists enjoy access to the entire club including the day spa and boutique, over 100 fitness classes per week and fitness facilities, along with the opportunity to use other amenities like tennis programming and personal training for an added fee. We also offer a 30-day draw while building your clientele for both full- and part-time Massage Therapists. Full-time Massage Therapists are eligible for benefits, including health insurance.

Duties / Responsibilities

· Reviews the massage supply inventory levels and communicates with Spa + Retail Manager needs monthly

· Works to resolve guest conflicts when possible and takes appropriate action

· Ensures that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the Woodside’s preventative maintenance programs; ensures that all Spa areas are properly cleaned on regular schedules (daily and weekly duties), product waste is disposed of as needed, and that the Spa areas meet all sanitary standards

· Communicates any maintenance issues or areas for improvement to the Spa + Retail Manager

· Complies with all health and safety regulations as governed by the State of Kansas, Johnson County, and the City of Westwood

· Maintains a clean and safe environment in compliance with proper requirements and appropriate sanitation and safety standards based on health code requirements for local, state, and federal regulations; disinfects treatment tables and related areas after each session and as needed

· Creates and maintains member/guest treatment notes and maintains confidentiality of such private records

· Contributes in the effort to continually improve the processes and procedures that will help Woodside achieve its overall club goals and support the financial success of Woodside

· Proactively identifies potential guest issues, by monitoring guest satisfaction responses; promptly and effectively addresses member/guest concerns and inquiries

· Encourages guests to purchase appropriate treatment products, solutions, and other retail options.

· Attends all departmental meetings and product training sessions as required; participates and promotes any special events as they occur

· Maintains clean, organized and visually appealing areas in and around the spa

· Complies with Club’s employee handbook manual, departmental policies and procedures and with all applicable federal and state employment laws

· Fulfills all requirements set forth in the Continuing Education Curriculum (Woodside University) Program

· Completes all other duties as directed/assigned

Job Standards

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma. At least 1-2 years of club desk experience.

· Must be 21 years of age or older

· Licensed Massage Therapist, Westwood Permit

· High School Diploma or equivalent required

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in high-quality spa environment or equivalent

clinical hours

· CPR/First Aid certification preferred

· Proficient in all facets of proper massage therapies and body treatments

· Industry certification in body works is a plus

Skills/Knowledge:

· Ability to market self and build a book of clients

· Ability to work in a fast paced and growing facility

· Computer literate - proficient in MS Office

· Excellent communication skills, both interpersonal and written

· Ability to thoroughly articulate treatment and services options to guests

· Excellent customer service, organizational and time management skills

· Ability to remain calm under pressure and exercise diplomacy

· Ability to reason and problem solve

Licenses

· Valid Driver’s License, or reliable form of transportation to and from work

· Valid Westwood Kansas Massage Therapy License

Special Requirements

· Access to confidential member and guest information

· Regular and predictable attendance required with mandatory shift coverage during assigned time of day

· Agile and ability to move quickly to assist when needed

· Ability to work in conditions with variable temperatures and noise levels along

with steam machinery, possible solution, and fragrances as well

· May be required to work extended hours to support club business hours

· Will be required to participate in Spa special events or promotions and other demands that may require early mornings, late evenings, and weekends
