Medical Assistant
Job description
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to help staff our Pediatric Cardiology and triage units. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of EKG, prescription via EMR, answering phones, scheduling, and general medical assistance duties such as recording vital signs. The candidate will have experience working in office or hospital settings, excellent customer service skills, and be able to work effectively in fast-paced environments with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the doctor with general office administration and management.
- Perform basic administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and filing.
- Be able to explain and locate various procedures and treatments to patients.
- Present patient information to physicians and perform clerical duties, such as entering patient data into electronic medical records.
- Learn how to perform tasks such as taking vital signs and obtaining medical histories.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.07 - $17.09 per hour
