Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Manager Software Engineering for its Irving, TX location.

Duties: Design, build and deploy CI/CD pipelines for Application deployments on PaaS using tools like Bit Bucket, Jenkins, Helm, Groovy, ksh, Nexus, Docker. Design and develop methodologies for blue-green and canary deployment for applications on PaaS. Develop and deploy systems level configurations to PaaS on AWS using pipelines. Automate application onboarding process for application teams to onboard their applications to PaaS. Analyze/troubleshoot issues arising from application development and deployment and suggest solutions to application teams. Deploy, test new features for the platform and roll out the features to production. Develop self-service tooling based on Java Spring-boot, Postgres and REST APIs for application team to onboard on to PaaS including interfaces to infrastructure components like ADS, SailPoint, ServiceNow and PaaS. Write playbooks for applications teams to follow when developing code and deploying to PaaS, providing expertise to teams regarding application development and guidance to junior developers on the team. Contribute and lead the technical tasks in the space of Platform as a service. Combine technical expertise and strong leadership skills to spearhead a results-driven engineering operation. The dynamic workload will encompass both attribute enhancements and cutting-edge innovations.

Requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Applications or related field and five years of experience in the position or in a related position. Full term of experience must include: Develop and support container orchestration environment such as EKS or OpenShift utilizing Docker and Kubernetes; Design complex deployment models such blue-green and canary deployment with conditional routing; Track work of supporting teams with operational tools such as Jira, confluence, or ServiceNow; Design, build and maintain large scale software system for secured deployment and operations process; Developing, managing, and retaining a team of highly inquisitive technologists, offering them both mentoring and coaching through their career growth; Collaborating with architects, product managers and other technical or non-technical stakeholders to define design approaches that are aligned with the customer-centric product vision; Ensuring the best engineering and documentation practices are understood and followed; Coordinating with peers within the organization to ensure seamless integration of functional workflows; Ensuring successful incremental product releases while driving to deadlines and optimizing investments. Assuring quality through efficient management of team and resources; and Evaluating and limiting risk and vulnerabilities during the software development process by consistently employing industry best-practices.
