About the Job
Our Client is looking for a Neurologist for their team in Manhattan, New York. The Neurologist's responsibilities include diagnosing and treating disorders of the brain, spinal cord and nervous system. This requires a Neurologist to order tests and evaluate results to provide proper care to their patients. Ultimately, you will work with a team of other Doctors to understand patient needs and provide the right treatment within a high-stress environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prescribe and/or administer treatment and medication related to neurological disorders.
- Monitor the behavioral and cognitive side effects of treatment and medication.
- Order supportive care services for patients
- Participate in neuroscience research activities.
- Liaise with medical professionals in the community and other hospitals.
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Neurologist or similar role
- Outstanding practical and diagnostic expertise
- Bachelor’s Degree
- NY state license.
- Board Certified.
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor Osteopathy.
- Accreditation with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
- Specialty training in an accredited neurology residency program.
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS). registration, for prescription writing.
- Urgent Care or Emergency Department experience.
- Able to work in Manhattan, New York
- Authorized to work in the US
