The Night Shift Dispatcher role is based at the Bridgeport Quarry in Chico, TX and reports directly to the Shipping Supervisor – Bridgeport Quarry.

The Dispatcher is responsible for prompt and accurate service to maintain customer relations regarding the transportation and production scheduling of our products.

What you’ll get to do

• Create and maintain customer job files, shipping records, and signed delivery tickets.
• Schedule and dispatch personnel, equipment, and service vehicles to appropriate locations according to customer specifications or need.
• Become familiar with the products produced at the plant, including product codes, billing and receiving systems.
• Distribute loading instructions to drivers.
• Strong communication skills are required to maintain relationships with customers.
• Participate with the entire Lehigh Hanson team to create a safe, clean, productive working environment.
• Other duties or special projects as assigned.

Essential Experience and Skills

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Demonstrated customer service excellence.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products (especially Excel and Word).
• Ability to work within a team as well as independently.
• Ability to prioritize work.
• Flexibility to adjust to changing company or customer needs.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Bilingual a plus.

• Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
