Nurse Assistant

Camp Nurse Assistants provide support to the Registered Nurses in the health center and assist with basic medical care. Camp Nurses Assistants may provide preliminary evaluation of symptoms, complaints, and injuries under the supervision and guidance of a Registered Nurse.

Nurse Assistants will also assist with the monitoring of health and wellness of campers and staff and may be required to update patient logs, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, which may include a range of ailments and injuries such as, but not limited to: sprains, bruises/scrapes, lice prevention, coughs/colds, stomach upsets and fatigue and homesickness.

Physical Aspects of the Job:

Ability to lift/assist campers and staff.

Ability to use a telephone.

Maintain a written record system.

Ability to quickly get to remote locations on camp property over uneven terrain.

Observe and assess sanitation and safety conditions of the camp.

Ability to drive to off-camp health providers, physicians, or emergency treatment locations.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $500.00 - $600.00 per week

Weekly schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

COVID-19 considerations:
Must be vaccinated against Covid.

Experience:

• Nursing: 2 years (Preferred)
