Job Title: Rockies Rock Camp Nurse

Starting Salary Range: $50/hour
Position Summary
Get Outdoors Leadville! seeks a Camp Nurse to support a summer, nature-based day camp (Rockies Rock Adventure Camp). The Camp Nurse will provide services, in compliance with the Colorado Childcare Licensing requirements related to Health Care (CRS 7.702.62 and 7.702.55.C)
General Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions
- Provide pre-camp training for GOL! & Rockies Rock camp staff on health topics, including universal precautions, medication administration and special health procedures, camper health care, hygiene, disease prevention, safety, nutrition, and diabetes (Tier 1 and Tier 3).
- Provide consultation to GOL! & Rockies Rock camp staff, as needed, to address camp related health topics.
- Review camper health records as disclosed by parents/guardians including information on campers’ known allergies, medication being taken, special diets required, any chronic health conditions, and advisement to GOL! & Rockies Rock camp staff on considerations for management of condition(s), as needed for camper safety and support.
- Advisement on appropriate documentation systems for camper health records’ management.

Requirements
- Licensed Nurse in the State of Colorado.
- Experience in child health
- Understanding of Colorado Childcare Licensing requirements for a Nurse Consultant
- Preferred bilingual in English and Spanish.
