Description of Job/Tasks:
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be required to manage a workforce in safety, productivity, warehousing, quality, and housekeeping, through use of established procedures and processes. Must also have the ability to convey message both orally and written to all levels of the company.

Additional responsibilities include:
•Maintain a safe work environment with 100% training and compliance to applicable procedures
•Monitors and enforces all OSHA and Company safety regulations and policies. Provides leadership to the safety program for the operations department through development and execution of safe practices and operating procedures to minimize the occurrence and severity of workplace accidents. Assists in the investigation of EH&S incidents.
•Monitor, audit, and enforce a housekeeping plan and maintain organized professional work environment.
•Verify and audit equipment inspections at the start of every shift and ensure issues and breakdowns are reported in maintenance tracking system
Processing oversight
•Set expectations for staff per schedule and daily output (Lines/E.H.R./Tons/Other)
•Review and document previous days production performance to operators and leadership team
•Plan for next shift and next day’s production. (Vacations, potential issues)
•Mange skid yard and inventory so the warehouse is adequately supplied by maintaining min and max levels
New hire training
•Conduct general onboarding training for warehouse employees
•Coordinate forklift, side loader, aerial lift, and crane training and certification for new employees
•Conduct OWI and JHA training for areas of responsibility for new employees
•Manage documentation, certifications, and signoffs for all new employees
Coordination with other shifts
•Release pull orders for next shift and report KPI's to give supervisor snapshot of pulling demand
•Organize orders by, prioritize by no fail requests, and highlight key notifications
•Attend swing shift huddle to facilitate handoff between shifts as prescribed in documented procedure
Other Duties
•Partner with other supervisors and act as backup for their role
•Conduct daily supervisor audits and inspections
•Facilitates problem solving team building activities
•Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

▪ High School Diploma / GED is required; ▪Associate's or Technical Degree is preferred
▪ Supervisory experience in a warehouse setting
▪ Knowledge of various employment laws (i.e, OHSA) and government regulations (i.e., DOT)
▪ Knowledge of all warehouse machine and equipment operations; experience working with slitting and cut-to-length lines, etc. in a metals warehouse environment
▪ Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
▪ Demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal skills
▪ Understands how to drive change within a dynamic environment
▪ Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
▪ Experience working in a team-focused environment
▪ Action oriented
