Schedule

1st shift: Monday through Friday - 7:00am to 3:30pm

2nd shift: Monday through Friday - 3:00pm to 12:00am

SUMMARY

Safely operates industrial truck/pallet jack (in accordance with Safety rules, policies and training) and manually loads product onto a skid by accurately picking and then staging completed orders for shipping in compliance with SQF.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Obtains pick lists from leadership.

· Fulfills order assignments utilizing the information located on the order copy

· Builds skids by palletizing.

· Sets aside any damaged product for re-work assuring it is properly tagged as non-conforming material.

· Counts and records number of units and weight of material moved or handled on a daily production sheet or pick ticket. Records number of skids picked per order and the location where the product has been staged for loading.

· Marks any item shortages on copy of pick ticket. This information is used to check with the production manager to determine if the shortage can be filled before the pickup appointment.

· During the order picking process, completed skids are to be staged in the dock area, or other area in the warehouse as assigned. Mark skids with the customer name and order number on the stretch wrap.

· Upon completing the order, give the paperwork to the office manager.

· All employees must actively participate in stretching exercises at the beginning of their shift; participate in product inventory as required; follow all company safety rules/procedures and OSHA Standards; follow established company rules & guidelines; follow established continuous improvement procedures, SQF & ISO standards.

· All employees must conform to the seasonal hours and demands of our business and perform other duties as assigned (includes but not limited to shoveling bulk grain or snow, painting, cleaning maintenance, etc.)

· Keep assigned work area clean; assist others to keep all areas of James Street Warehouse clean. Assist in loading, unloading, and moving material within plant.

· Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education - The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Language Skills – The ability to read, write and comprehend the English language. Must have the ability to follow directions, both verbal and written, and to apply this knowledge to complete work assignment.

Math Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands – Must be met by an employee to successfully perform job.

· Required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Frequent need to talk or hear. Occasional need to sit; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus and color vision.

· Must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds regularly.

· While working this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is exposed to outside weather conditions – such as heat and cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Additional Qualifications

· Proficient experience with computers is required. RF Scanning experience is required.

· Forklift and Electric Jack experience required. Must be able to safely manipulate vehicles around moving co-workers with extreme care.
