Job Description
Designs and implements organizational development initiatives and collaborates with organizational leaders to enhance performance and achieve excellence. Facilitates Lurie Children’s leadership’s ability to model and achieve Lurie Children’s Leadership Accountabilities and deliver our promised employee experience. Provides counsel to leaders in diagnosing and addressing performance issues. Supports initiatives to achieve Lurie Children’s goal of being a great place to work.

Job Duties:
  • Design and implement developmental programs and/or other appropriate interventions to address identified leadership, teamwork, and organizational development needs.
  • Leverage analytics and insights to drive sustainable change and enable organizational transformation in support of the organization’s strategies and priorities.
  • Serve as coach and internal consultant to Lurie Children’s leaders to enhance their ability to develop, engage, retain, and deliver Our Promise to Employees fostering a great place to work, in close coordination with HR Consulting Team.
  • Partner with internal teams to transform the employee experience through the integration of talent practices and processes
  • Work collaboratively with other hospital educational efforts to integrate services provided.
  • Design and deliver actionable change and program management plans to support the effective execution of organizational effectiveness strategies.
  • Maintain working knowledge of industry best practices and trends to recommend, influence and deliver effective and innovative organizational effectiveness solutions.
  • Perform job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers, and others.
Knowledge, Skills & Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development/behavior, or related field. Master’s degree preferred (MBA or Master’s in Industrial Psychology).
  • Minimum of 7 years of increasingly responsible human resources experience; including collaborating and consulting with leaders to achieve results.
  • Ability to maintain professional judgment, discretion and confidential information.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills - Ability to develop and a present coherent presentations and recommendations using data, analysis, and appropriate imagery.
  • Ability to create, conduct and assess developmental interventions.
  • Extensive knowledge of organizational development, talent management, performance management and change management principles.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, manage ambiguity (create structure from undefined tasks) and work effectively with minimal direction and supervision.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Prior experience in health care preferred.
  • Workday or other HRIS system experience preferred.
