Digifli Community Bulletin boards is based in Alameda, CA. We are social, creative, fun and our goal is to empower East Bay Communities, support independent businesses, and reduce e-waste. We have a growing network of indoor digital bulletin boards placed in small businesses throughout the East Bay. (Restaurants, Bars, Boutiques, Salons, Etc.)

We need a self-starter, motivated, creative rep to help our partners and other local businesses advertise their products and services using our unique SaaS style advertising platform.

Outside Ad Sales Rep (New Media) - Oakland East Bay

Part time 15-25 hours per week: Base Salary + Commission

$2000 - $3500+ per month, opportunity to move to FT, no commission cap.

Digifli is a Community Bulletin Board network in Oakland and Alameda and expanding at a very rapid pace. We are in 100 locations today and are targeting another 300 locations in 2023 expanding into Berkeley, San Leandro, Hayward and throughout the Bay Area.

We partner with local business associations to provide digital bulletin boards for association businesses. We do not allow national corporate chains to advertise or participate. Digifli is a community focused, environmentally minded company. We support local artists, nonprofits and independent businesses.

We offer monthly subscription advertising plans to local businesses. Plans range from $49-$599 per month and we pay recurring commissions monthly.

You should enjoy hitting the street and meeting local business owners in shopping districts like Rockridge, Temescal, Telegraph, Uptown, Piedmont Ave, Montclair, etc. We have established relationships with merchant associations so it is not all cold calling, there is a growing buzz about the platform.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for this position is someone with a strong affinity for the local community. You enjoy meeting with local indie businesses and helping them grow with promotion and marketing. You should have a general understanding of different forms of advertising and be able to come up with creative promotion ideas.

Required Skills:

• Some local advertising sales experience or experience working with a BID or district association.
• Ability to create a suggested plan for potential customers. For example: Go into a Brewery and show them they can advertise in 10 restaurants within a few miles of them to grow sales or bring people into the tasting room.
• Ability to canvas shopping districts like Rockridge, Berkeley, Solana Ave, Jack London, etc.
• Attend and present at area business association mixers and meetings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Compensation Package

This position starts off part time 15-25 hours a week base plus commission. The target compensation for part-time year 1 is 50k, Year 2 is 80k+ (Build recurring commissions every month). There is also an opportunity to move to full-time after 6 months and earn 50k-80k+ depending on performance.
