Job Description

The night auditor is responsible for computing, recording and verifying numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records of the hotel

Responsibility and Duties

  • Keep accurate records of the Cash Drawer during shift change
  • Handles confidential information, including guest records with a high degree of integrity
  • Verifies room charges and rates, manages daily paperwork including the Stats and Occupancy reports, guest Ledger/list, cash summary balance sheets accounting summary, history file and housekeeping reports
  • Submits reports to corporate office as required
  • Performs all duties of a Guest Service Agent with professional friendly attitude
  • Performs and documents security walks on a regular basis, securing the property, making sure lights are not left on in meeting rooms, doors are locked, etc.
  • Implements proper procedures in emergency situations
  • Assists in helping set up breakfast area as needed
  • Help out with folding laundry in the evenings in back office
  • Any other duties that are assigned by management
  • Enrolling our guests who are non Hilton Honors members

  • Requires the ability to read, write and speak the English language
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions and uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.

  • Knowledge of, and ability to, appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly
  • Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to audience, whether verbal or written
  • Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
  • Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule, to be at work on time. May require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on the needs of the hotel business.
