Job description
Assists with Marketing and Outreach efforts, including coordinating and attending community events and outreach efforts. Canva experience preferred. Experience with Marketing efforts, including but not limited to printed marketing materials, social media, radio ads, newspaper ads, etc.
Ensures patients have been cleared for specialty service office visits. Resolves pre-certification, registration and case-related concerns prior to a patient’s appointment. Being a referral Specialist gathers pertinent information from insurance carries, financial counselors, and other ancillary staff to make certain the patient’s financial obligations for services provided. Provides support to clinical staff in order to facilitate the administration components of clinical referrals for various services. Additionally, Referral Specialist acts as a liaison between hospitals, physician, health plans, vendors and patients, or other referral sources. Verifies insurance coverage and obtains authorizations if needed from insurance coverage. Enters referrals and documents communications, actions, and other data in an information system. Requires an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Referral Specialist gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision. 1-3 years of experience in this role is preferred.
WordPress experience in creating and working on websites. Experience integrating single platform. Graphic design, photo editing, and theme editing. Previous work with Canva, blogging, and social media.
Navigator for the Marketplace. Ability to work with clients on securing a health insurance policy. Must pass Georgia Insurance licensing exam for the State of Georgia as well as the Federal requirements. Person should be able to work with all people.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Under the direction of the Director of Marketing and Outreach, the Health Navigator assists the public in securing appropriate medical services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include:
· Advising patients in how to access to various clinic/hospital and community services.
· Assisting patients in understanding financial implications and applications of healthcare.
· Assisting patients with understanding health insurance and various assistance programs offered locally, regionally and federally.
· Assisting with marketing and outreach efforts.
· Assisting and coordinating with partners and staff to assist in health promotions.
· Assisting in maintaining the agency’s website and patient portal.
· Serving as a customer service representative.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Knowledge of available services.
· Knowledge of insurance programs.
· Ability to interpret rules and regulations as they pertain to diagnoses, insurance coverage and service providers.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
· Associate degree in medical or related field and or documented work experience.
